I am thankful for the namelist, too because my new book (I am still writing at it)needed some good names, too. "The effendi's servant" is about two young orphans who living around 1980 in Algier ... I think it's getting a good story! ...

Sash... Al Nizami is in arabic. it means 'the one who follows the rules' or 'the punctual one'.... it might be an iranian name too though....

Nooridine is my name...I think it is Arabic but I have only met Algerians with this name. I always liked the name Khaled (it is my father's name) and you have heard the name of the great Carthaginian, Hannibal too! good luck!
