I am a British female who has a MSc and PhD in engineering looking to find a skilled job with either a European or American company in Algeria.
I would be grateful if anyone knows of any good websites or contacts in which to find a job.
It is quite important to me to find a job in which my skills are utilised and is integral to my decision in moving to Algeria. If anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully recieved

You will be able to find details of many vacancies in Algeria here. Engineering skills will enable you to look at various employment sectors - oil, mining, highway construction, desalination projects etc.
There is a dedicated 'energy thread' in the current affairs section that makes reference to many of the foreign companies working in Algeria at present, and in the business affairs section there is reference to mining, desalination, and highway construction projects. Once you have a name of a company or subsidiary, it is relatively simple to 'Google' its parent company website - here is one to get you started.
It might also be useful for you to contact Layla Derraz (contact details here) who is in a position to give you some good information.
If the 'recruitment' thread is no help to you, just whistle and we will see if we can find something more specific.
Good luck with your search.

let me speak on this jokster's behalf since she somehow failed to acknowledge the help she received and didn't thank the advisor.
"Oh thank you mister Khiyal for your sources and guidance. Once i become an absolutely famous engineer in Algeria i'll remember to contact you"
It seems as if one fails to conceive
The meaning my name strives to achieve
To a biological form you cannot relate-
Because a reproductive cell is a gamete not gamate!
It means to unite, -to become consolidated
So without me in a.com, is there hope we'd be amalgamated?

la2, no rush ya amalgamate, Babs3 is a shwaya shwaya type of person, I suspect. She joined in December 2005 and takes her time dropping in, she hasn't actually called back yet, since making her post, so she has not seen any reply.

Yes, Al-Khiyal is always very helpful.

Just wondering what if you don't have a degree in engineering.. and don't speak Arabic or French....
Is there any hope for a woman like that??
