    I always liked this mosque in Mali:



    The Great Mosque of Djenné

    If I remember correctly, it's cooling or ventilation system consists of holes with lids located on the roof. I'll see if I can find more info about that.

    You know what, I didn't know the name of the architect until someone told me last year! Surprising for me given his architectural achievements in my mind define Barcelona. Must be the curves Flora

    Building Type: Masjid

    Construction System: reinforced concrete, marble

    Style: Islamic Architecture

    (I have located the Masjid on Google Earth and saved a placemark - which needs to be opened in Google Earth for viewing.)
