    The Cybertecture Egg, Mumbai, India

In the 21st Century, buildings will be different from 20th Century, they are no longer about concrete, steel and glass, but also the new intangible materials of technology, multimedia, intelligence and interactivity. Only be recognizing this will bring a new form of architecture to light namely a "Cybertecture."

Paperclip Lamp | Not For Craigslist

You may have heard of Kyle MacDonald, the guy who traded a red paperclip for a house on Craigslist. It was last year’s light news day darling: “We’ll leave you with an incredible tale of… blah, blah.” Well, after 14 trades, Kyle now owns a house in the town of Kipling Saskatchewan (wherever the hell that is). The point is this: that guy missed the point. The paperclip is a thing of beauty. If you ask me, he should have held on to it.

Luckily for us, the visionaries at Seattle-based Teague Design saw the inherent beauty of this everyday object. Born from an innovative internal program designed to nurture creativity, the paperclip lamp debuted at the Seattle DWR Lighting Exhibition and after gaining recognition internally shone at the Korean Gwangju Design Biennale, a festival which puts 21st century design trends under the spotlight.

CASA VERDE: Sunset’s Green Dream Home in San Francisco

This weekend, I attended the NEN’s Clean and Green Summit which included a wonderful green walking tour of San Francisco’s Mission district. We strolled by beautiful gardens and saw some great community initiatives, but the highlight by far was a showing of Sunset Magazine’s sustainable gem, Casa Verde. We’ve covered the zero energy super-home in the past,....etc

All of the home’s appliances are Energy Star certified, and a planter sparkling with bits of reclaimed glass sits atop a counter recycled from the same material. A green roof with a rainwater recycling system tops off the sustainable citadel.

    Nice, yes it is,
but as a fragile one, i doubt, cuze the glass upperside is not facing that much of shocks and hits.

yes there will be a rain, maybe snow, but still it resists.
