    that's just sad...

valentines day in syria is SOOOOOOOO cheesy - if i ever spent it there then i'd stay indoors til 2/15 - lol. Guys on the streets have valentines day cards that they hand out to any girl they put their eye on --- if you take it then that means you're his "girlfriend" (his number and address are in the card)... sick...

An interesting observation on Valentines Day.
Last year I was in Algeria and you couldnt miss it was valentines day. Couples were very loving and lost of red roses. I was in Annaba. The tables set up at the beach were designed for couples.
Valentines in Western Australia was a complete contrast. I went out for breakfast with my sister and her husband. There were lots of couples but no flowers or anything that reminded you of valentines.
The commercialisation is there it is talked about constanlty and there are flower stands everywhere. I just didnt see it in the couples.
So does that mean they give it at home or just dont give anything.

I would love to hear someones thoughts.

I totally agree with the person who said Valetines is a reminder to all the single people, that you are still single.
