    Teen Depression

I read a story in our local newspaper. Why is it that; kids who have all what they need and want, including parents' love and yet, they manage to be depressed and even think about suicide.

probably because they got no concept of life and the reason of living....

You know what question one of my students asked me only a week ago?

He asked me what's the reason of life. I told him clearly what we Muslims believe what life should evolve around and why we are here.

    وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
    (Quran 51:56)

He accepted that and tended back to his work.

I know that if it weren't for this verse, a lot of us would ask the same question and would be lost as to why we live in the first place.

Because a reproductive cell is a gamete not gamate!

It means to unite, -to become consolidated
So without me in a.com, is there hope we'd be amalgamated?

a lot of people at my uni are getting depressed and attempting suicide

    why?

a lot of them are getting calls from their parents saying they got laid off from their jobs and they can't help with their rent or tuition - either get a good job fast or drop out of school

i think i'd get suicidal too

In this case half of the world should commit suicide, because the reality of life is that not too many people are making it and some can barely survive.

lol yazou but the difference is having something and then getting it taken from you

and wow, if half the world committed suicide the economy would get better

Sorry, you're right it should be approached tactfully, but it is a serious problem we cannot ignore.
