What's the Best or Worst thing you've ever done or witnessed ?

One of the best gestures I ever made was when I was 21, during a summer camp in the UK (a working holiday), during the hippee years in the 70s. I had 'hooked up' with a scottish girl who had to leave the camp early. On her way home, she lost her purse and all the money she had earned during the hol, quite a disaster... She told me this in a heartbreaking letter. so, I immediately spread the story,organised a collection, and sent her an equal amount of money by post. To say that she was over the moon is an understatement. We all felt wonderful!
One of the worst things I've ever seen ...in the news was during the 'Intifadha' in the 80s. An Israeli soldier was filmed breaking the knees of a young Palestinian with a rock while another soldier held him still. horrible...horrible brutality that I will take with me to my grave.
