ok i gew up in a small town about 8 miles from a big town, it was very typical of an algerian post independace-suburban community
1. hundreds of building in neighberhoods that have no names besides the number of units they contained (les 999 logements les 000 logements.....)
2. few mosques,
3.a small poste office,
4. a "brigade" of "la gendarmerie national" (now it has a police station)
5.a small "souk el fellah" which it soon disappeared
6.a train stration
7. a small clinic used mainly for vaccination efforts
and this is like late 80's early 90's...... to be continued

i almost miss the the almost comic socialist state we were hahahahaha

hmmm i wonder where... let me guess, it could be an oasis in the sahara, or a medium sized town up in the Atlas mountains..... could it really be a coastal in the vally of a big mountain and dates back to the Roman times? nah i dont think so , i have a strong feeling i have been there not too long ago lol
