Nip in nip out thread
Since we don’t appear to have a Chat Room at Algeria.com, as an experiment, I am starting this thread intended to be used like a Virtual Chat Room. I just thought it might be worth a try.
So
if you...
just want to say hi !
want to talk about the weather
fancy some juicy gossip
are just bored
want to share a problem
need tips or advice
need quick answers to a problem
want to talk about the news
etc
then, this could be the right place for it. Join us for a few minutes whenever you can.![]()

I’ll start the chat with a question.
What are you doing this Christmas and New year?
My answer: Not sure. Probably watch Cable and join in the fun on New Year.
What about you?

I'm not having to work
Though have to start getting Christmas presents now, I always wish that we could do the presents bit on the Epiphany as at least all the sales would have happened by then... I know thats not really in the Christmas spirit, but in a way it is, because then my family could focus on Christmas properly

I am trying (unsuccessfully so far) to stay away from santa.
Aside from that, nothing out of the ordinary...

Of course.
...........
So people, I'm doing everything I can to stay clear of xmas but it's darn near impossible here. Don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with xmas per se. It's just that it's no longer for me and I am 150% bombarded with it every time I step out the front door. Also it's the commercialisation that really gets under my skin. Santa set up in our shopping centre in mid November, decorations and other things for xmas that they want us to buy were on the shelves the week before that. My kids have made dozens of xmas crafts etc at their school...then they bring them home. There are xmas concerts and parties too.
Even before I was Muslim I hated that it gets shoved down your throat all the time.
Now that I think about it, b2mr's probably meant what are we doing over the summer (for us it's summer)?...in which case I can give a much more interesting answer. InshAllah I will be in Algeria...it's really important to me so I'm making so many prayers that I can travel.
