Are we witnessing the loss of old-fashioned manly values?
Two years ago, top American columnist Kathleen Parker caused a furore with her new book 'Save the Males', in which she argues that feminism has neutered men and deprived them of their noble, protective role in society.
She claimed that...
(1) Real men have been replaced by pretty boys and ''stay-at-home dads"
(2) Today the exemplar of the modern male is the one with the hairless chest ...
(3) Men have been domesticated to within an inch of their lives.
(4) Masculinity has been derided as ‘outmoded patriarchy’.
(5) But women want men to embrace feminine traits without being feminine.
(6) Added to that, in popular culture, macho men are often portrayed as bullies, brutes, sexual predators and wife-beaters.
(7) Men feel marginalised by the women whose favours and approval they seek.
(8) They are alienated from their children and treated as criminals by family courts.
(9) They are disrespected by a culture that no longer values masculinity and undervalues their parental role.
(10) Now women are lamenting that the delightful differences that make men irresistible to them have long gone!
(11) Having turned men into wimps (allegedly); now they’re blaming them for not being ‘real men.’
What do you think?

First of all i think u'r crazy looool
just kidding kho, but the fonts and the colors there really helped
. i really dont understand when u say "Real Men have gone" , the logic of reality supercieds any perception of some imaginary world one might have. in other words the 3 billion men who exist now are infact the Real Men.
if you's speaking of the changes in attitude for many men, i think you should appreciate the fact that you're an outsider to all that watching and laughing rather than participating because let me tell you , its hillarious out there. im a big fan of freedom, and think people should be themselves rather than try to be a wimp to please some women or fake some redjla like alot of ignorants do.
my personal recipee is : a mixture of George Clooney, Ali LApointe and al Hadje Al3anqa keeping it 2/3 Algerian with a spalsh of the American chic.قطيع نحن والجزار راعينا ، ومنفيون نمشي في أراضينا ،

"real men" criteria
oh, for us "real women", we do indeed still find a few "real men" every so often:
Bud Light Salutes Real Men of Genius
A few of my favorites:
- Mr. Karaoke King of the Mic
- Mr. Fancy Coffee Shop Pourer
And in salute to all the Mediterranean men, you gotta give it to: "Mr. Way Too Much Cologne Wearer"
(toss me that hanky please, and a dose of smelling salts!)
But seriously, what makes a "real man"? My criteria are simple: He knows and loves God; he knows and loves himself; and he is able to know and love others.

you are right Tipaza. in normal circumstances you dont have to prove anything, however its almost certain that at one point you find yourself in situations whwere the other person in the relationship has doubts about your love, commitment... traditionally algerian women are a bit insecure and tend to ask these questions. when i say insecure, i must add that those feelings are justified in a male-centred society.
