I think you can live happily in Algeria, if you keep yourself busy with good activities, having true friends.

I think all kind of activities are accessible (Sports, hobbies, NGOs). you just have to look for them.
What kind of activities interest you ?
Some People there are bored, because they donīt know how to spend their time.

Until now I had not given it too much thought.
Apart from the normal daily activities, I am usually helping out on a community project. I enjoy going out for coffee with my sisters and friends, I am a bit of an addict.
I love doing nature based activites and sightseeing. Unfortunately I dont have too many pepole I can do it with. I am working on it though.
When time and motivation permits a rare combination, I enjoy art projects or just trying anything new.

assalamualaikum. Dear sister aayisha, i'm a mother of two, moved to algeria five yrs ago. a yr after i came to algeria, got me a job as a martial arts instructor for women, lasted for 3 yrs, had to stop cause i finnally moved to my own house. now insyallah i'm waiting to open my own hall of sports at my own garage. i'm considerable happy here, my kids speaks arabic, learn to read quran, and my faith to Allah is assending, insyallah.
I guest, where ever you are, you got to be strong at heart, think possitive, do what you feel like doing. as long as you are not astray from the akidah Islam and your family.
My everyday life now in algeria is simple, my family, mosque, and my computer. i always try make my life easy, even tho i still speak broken arabic and alone (but my husband and kids), i've survive and i'm proud of myself.
