UK citizen - Visa for Algeria needed?

Salam all,

I hope someone will be able to be of some assistance.

My cousin is due to get married in early summer and my uncle let us know yesterday the dates for his wedding in order to allow plenty of time to get things sorted for a trip over to attend the wedding inshAllah.

Now, my query is, do we as British citizens require a visa to visit Algeria? Does the fact that we're Moroccan have any effect at all?

Being from Oujda, we were considering doing it 'haraga' stylee and just cut across the border into Maghnia but it's a bit too risky

I think moroccans do not need a visa but you need to take a plane to go to Algeria. The border is still closed.
