If someone is interested, you can find problems that are usefull in everyday life in OR, operational research.
Just google it up, shortest path, travelling salesman problem...

Using exactly four straight lines, without taking your pen off the paper, can you join all nine dots? You are not allowed to retrace your path.

I can only join the 8 dots that make the big square

What are you meant to be left with when you join the 9 dots? 4 squares inside the big one?

No squares meant to be left, just a matter of joining the dots.
