Do you think that France should formally and officially ask for a “Pardon” for all the massacres and atrocities committed toward the Algerian population between 1830 – 1962? Should this be done before we sign the “Friendship Treaty” or “Traite D’amitie” that should be signed this year between Chirac & Bouteflika, at the image of the treaty signed between France & Germany signed few years back to close the chapter of hostilities fueled by WWII. We shouldn’t forget that France also officially demanded pardon for the Jews who were French citizens but nonetheless transferred to the German Camps for extermination during WWII. Has the time arrived?

We should have done that a long time ago
Algeria should have demanded a pardon from France ages ago. I agree that there is a double standard here when France expected Germany to apologize while refusing to apologize to Algeria.
But then again, what do you expect from a leadership headed by a morally corrupt Bouteflika ?
