its easy to see how a marriage can account for half of someones belief system. somewhere in there is YOU.

See how many times you mentioned the word "family" which is exactly the reason why marriage is important in Islam. Family is very important and is the basic unit of society rather than the person as an individual which is the basic unit of Western societies!
And that is why marriage is considered half the religion.

you came from a family.. and you hopefully make your own family.. its not like im not aware of this.. but every family is made up of individuals.. and each are important on their own aswell as part of a whole.

so youre point is taken.. nothing i disagree with much.. just that a single person is no less spiritual for not being married. if things work out good for them.. they will marry! and be happy ! but if it doesnt work out that way.. i dont think the most they can hope for is to reach half of their religious.. deen you call it?

I'm just wondring why people are giving marriage more priority than something more important in Islam: pilgrimage( Hadj)
Isn't Hadj is the 5th bases of islam? Why everyone-including me of cours- is not thinking to do Hadj until he get married? and some of us until they get very old?
