Ugly went back to God.. but before he did.. he got picked up.. cared for.. loved.. and petted.. he had one last opportunity to give love.. and he was happy.. and then he was missed.

WS
I am obsessed with cats. Are you ?
I am the proud owner of 4 cats, each one of them with a distinct personality, a distinct temperament and a distinct attitude.
My favorite cat is the tiger, an absolutely gorgeous animal. I have considered adopting one but my family has not warmed up to the idea of a 700 pound animal roaming around the house.
I visited an animal farm back in the 90's. The farm was located in Oregon not too far from the California border. I had the opportunity to play with 3 tiger cubs. I had a blast. One of them stayed away from me (the shy one). Another was biting my shoes (the agressive one) and the third one just wanted me to hold him (the affectionate one)

The cats in my life:
Fifi.. the only cat i ever had that had a litter. My dad cried when she had a seizure in his arms and died.. she got to be very quite old.
Coyote.. when i brought him home he was so tiny.. and his paws were so furry.. he would take a run and only stop when he'd run into something. he loved to lick my sons head after he got out of the shower.
Soleil... did not want to be touched. I found her in a cardboard box on the corner on a winters day. i put her in my jacket and it took five baths to get her clean. Coyote was a great daddy to her.
Lili ....shes my moms. My daughter loves her like crazy.. I don't see how though.. this cat is all piss and vinegar. My daughter built a beautiful casket for her because she was touch and go for a while.. very old cat. My dad joked.. he told my daughter.. Lili looks at you and thinks.. cant you wait till im dead !
Penny !... she might have been the size of a penny when we got her.. but shes HUGE now. You gotta see it to believe it.
Fila.. was the neighbours cat. they left him outdoors all winter long. He would sit on my window sill and wait till I got home to let him in. he got really bad pneumonia. i crushed antibiotics and put it in food for him. i saw improvement.. he eventually never came back.
Ninja and _____its sibling. Tooo sad to talk about.
Kittypoo... big big black furry furry cat. he loved the smell of soap. After my shower he would follow me to my bed and reach up with both paws and place them on either side of my neck for me to pick him up. he was my boy.. I would tell my son.. go feed your brother. He got run over by a car. I was too afraid to go get him. I called the city to go get him. For close to three months everywhere I looked.. there was a visual overlay of him on the road ..dead.
Legend... what a fighter! no one could pass through the hall if she was on the stairway. you might lose an ear! after a while i could wrap her around my neck like a fuzzy scarf. I put her down.. an infection.. Squirrel got her. couldnt justify a $700 vet bill for a 60% chance of survival.. (not with kids at home to look after).. I think that Squirrel died before she did. My husband actually got to see her¡K I didn¡¦t realize it but he said that every time I moved away from the cam.. she would follow after me.
And then theres Tom.. and Max and.. and .. and..
Regardless if we found them or they find us, regardless if they came from the pound or a neighbour with a new litter.. they were vaccinated.. fixed... and now.. they are even registered.. they were in our lives.. we watched them grow up and grow to be humanlike.. and we loved them until they died.. if only we could be so certain that we would be looked after as good as they were.
My husband wants to get me a new kitty.. a fluffy orange one. The orange ones always seem to get fatter.. and I just love fat cats ! He wants to call it yahoo where we met.
maybe i AM obssessed !

You are not only obsessed....
.... you are certifiable too

Have you ever wondered what it is about cats that makes us so GAGA about them ?
Eventhough I like dogs too, they don't come anywhere close when compared to cats.
I have still not given up on adopting one of these cats one day. Huge food bill but then again : love is priceless

Re: You are not only obsessed....
I was cooing at the screen without noticing it !
It might be their fur.. or the shape of their heads.. it might be their purr.. or how they make their bed on your belly...
whatever it is... its definately good for the heart and soul!
Having a tiger at home ? hmmm.. reminds of those people in the praries who adopted a baby buffalo.. forgot his name now.. but i saw a photo of them in the family room.. im sorry.. but a buffalo ?? you got to draw the line somewhere. thing is.. people draw their own line.. whatever suits them.
this reminded me of the camel in setif that tried to eat my sleeve...
