The Qur'an makes mention of developing a fear of Allah.

Whilst a love for Allah(swt) is important so is having a fear for Allah(swt)

Fear doesnt have to be derived from being scared of someone, these are two different words.

For example, I fear that I may upset my mother so I take extra care in all that I do so as to not upset her. This is a different kind of fear, indeed an honorable one, and is what Islam purports to put forward as meaning of fear.

There is a beautiful story about the Love for Allah narrated by Rabiyya al-Basriyya who was one of the first prominant female Islamic figures after the passing of the rightly guided Caliphs. But the story is long and my fingers can only type so fast.

i hope you guys are not picking on her - it seems as if she was serious and it's not upto us to ask her how many replies she has recieved - that's not really nice to ask a woman.

I do notice that a lot of americans want their potential spouses to have a MAsters degree.

One of my friends has a Masters- her husband to be doesn't- can work sometimes.
