hiya, im algerian too but living in london (for 5 years so far)

salam i don't know what exactly you want to know about vancouver all i can say is it's a beautiful city ,new and there is about 2milion living in it ,most people are nice but it rain a lot here ,there is a very few algerian .and if u have specific ?????????? please let me know .

This name is due to the incredible amount of pot located there. I mean, if you ever go, it is totally legal here dude. No, seriously man.
Vancouver was discovered during World War III when a bomb heading for China missed by a few hundred miles. The eruption of the bomb hitting the massive amounts of trees created some sort of anamoly which religion can not even explain. This explosion created a bunch of hippies in vans, hence the name Vancouver. Technically speaking, history records that the name Vancouver was coined when one of the then indigenous natives, fearing the fallout from the explosion, screamed "head for coover!". Hence the Salish name of van-coover was co-opted by the Westron tongue as Vancouver.
