    Hello All,

To those who are married to an Algerian or are in the process of doing so, did you need you parents, more specifically your mother to give her permission for your hand. If so, what was it? In written form or did they have to physically go to Algeria and tell the Civil courts and /or the Imam ( I hope I spelt that right)?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks

I did not require anyones permission. But on the other hand it was a bit difficult finding an Imam to marry us.
Your husband to be should ask the Imam that he intends on using what his requirements are.

i think you need the permission of your father mainly, if that is not posiible then your brother ,uncle or cousin is usually ok. you dont specifically need your mothers permission its usually the males that have the say in this matter. ive never heard of a mother giving away her her son/daughter.
if what you mean by mothers permission is for your mother to AGREE to the marriage then that is different, its usually good to have her to agree for obvious reasons, but i think your father has the final say.
    hope that helps you xx
