Sadly, I've heard this as well. Hopefully they don't spread.

As phyl mentioned, violence has got a new path. It's not like how it was during the 90s, but islamic groups are hitting well defined targets of the algerian army and security forces.

Addressing a purported breach that has come to exist between the Mujahideen and Islamic scholars, an article from the eighth issue of Al-Jama’a, a magazine distributed by the Salafist Group for Call and Combat (GPSC) in Algeria, rejects this belief, explaining that there are still “true scholars” left who support jihad and names them. This article, titled: “The Jihad Stream - Between Knowledge and Scholars,” written by Abu al-‘Azmat, argues that scholarly direction and interpretation given to the Mujahideen “beatifies” jihad, and those “who pretend to be scholars,” should follow their example. A multitude of the scholars al-‘Azmat names have died in jihad, such as Abu Anas al-Shami and Abdullah Rashood in Iraq, and others like Omar Abdul Rahman, the blind sheikh, and Abu Qatada are incarcerated.

In addition, the article questions the use of jailing the scholars: “Even though you have our sheikhs in your jails and you have broadcasting and the Internet, do you the infidel rulers and betrayer scholars, debate them live on-air to let people know that we are wrong and the problem of terrorism will go away?” To those scholars who allegedly issue fatwas with the interests of their “masters” in mind, and discourage support for the Mujahideen and jihad, Abu al-‘Azmat considers them to have abandoned Islam and the jihad. He states: “You betrayed the jihad and you want us to listen to your words about it? Do you want us to hear your words about the Mujahideen while you oppose them? You are waiting on tables and women; we never knew that about scholars, not in Allah’s book, nor in Allah’s messenger’s Sunnah, not even in the Muslim history. The scholars were always in the first row”

    Yeah wateva!

They've been deciding who must be called muslim and who mustn't and now are deciding who's the scholar and who is not...
They play the same game as the rulers who have pseudo-scholars who are there to justify their actions...
    Yemmahoum wahda on this matter...

Murphy should add to his rules that every idea could get a fatwa if there is enough people beleiving it's correct.
