Let's face it, the Algerian govt. may think it is aligning itself with America to strenghten itself and look good internationally, but the US r only looking for a new puppet govt. and to destabilise Algeria due to its resources. Same old story with the colonialists...now US is just a neo-colonial power...and if Algeria allows US to continue with this then it will end up like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and the rest of the middle east! Hey, France couldn't take the heat when FLN started Battle of Algiers...America doesn't want to mess with Algerians!

Mumtaz
U shouldn't think that the US is playing with and fooling the algerian government.
Governments all play the same way, they go where their interest is. Only interest matters. So, today the interest of the US matches with Algerian one; but I think all know that this is gonna change in the future.
Yet, we must make the difference between governments working for their ppl welfare, and others working for their own personal, partisan welfare.... This is all what matters, and talking about Alg and US, I bilieve both govs have put personal well being before their ppls'.

yeah hear what u saying, but it's sad to think that we have to be so realistic and cynical and young age
actually, don't know i can say young in relation to me...keep forgetting i am in the 30 zone now
anyway, as much as i am up on politics and it is an important part of my work, it gets me down to see the way things r and that nothing really changes...had such hopes for the 21st century, but now looks like it's going to be a pretty bad time if things continue down the road they going. At least it looks like the East will be rising up against the west in some ways.
hey, gotta get outa here or i'll be sad all week
