It's already sha'ban the 3rd, it remains less than one month for Ramadan
May Allah bless us in the month of Sha`ban and give us the chance to fast the month of Ramadan.
(Allahouma barik lana fi sha'ban wa baligh'na Ramadane)
How can one prepare oneself for Ramadan?Question and Answer
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Thanks for your important question, and we earnestly implore Allah from the depth of our hearts to give us the chance to complete the month of Sha`ban and reach the month of Ramadan, in order to receive Allah's blessings and rewards.
With the approach of the month of Ramadan, the Muslim is supposed to start a new leaf with Allah, his fellow human beings as well as all his surroundings. On this new leaf, he should first declare sincere repentance from all sins committed in order for him to be eligible for Allah's reward in the blessed month of Ramadan.
Responding to the question, Dr. Sano Koutoub Moustapha, Professor of Jurisprudence and its Principles at the International Islamic University, Malaysia, states the following:
Let us keep praying Almighty Allah to bless us in the month of Sha`ban and give us the chance to fast the month of Ramadan. For better preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, I propose the following:
1. Keep praying daily that Allah gives us the chance and grants us good health that will enable us to fast the holy month.
2. Start repenting and seeking the forgiveness of the Almighty for all our wrongdoings before Ramadan.
3. Seek the strength from Allah to fast in the way that He likes and wants.
4. Seek forgiveness from all members of your family, workmates, neighbors, and relatives for any wrongdoing against them.
5. Refrain from backbiting, slandering, and unlawful mixing with people.
6. Clean your heart and soul from envy, jealousy, hypocrisy, arrogance, and all heart diseases.
7. Seek the blessings of your parents, if they are alive, and their forgiveness for your shortcomings towards them.
8. Increase your du`aa' and commitment to your daily duties and obligations.
With this, I think, we will be able to achieve the main goals of fasting.

Hello everyone. I’m a new member here and I like this forum a great deal.
Now back to the question:
How can one prepare oneself for Ramadan?
Every year we Muslims ask ourselves the same question yet we don’t do anything except stuffing our houses with food and lots of food. As if the main purpose of Ramadan is to eat and get fat.
In my country, streets get so crowded especially before Magreb prayer. The number of car accidents increases before Magreb prayer and Fajor prayer. People don’t sleep till they have Sahoor ( the second main meal ) then they go to bed to wake up in less than 3 hours to go to work. This means, less patience, less tolerance and more nervousness and bad manners.
We believe that during Ramadan people should behave and they should be calm and peaceful, but reality always shakes our belief.

Indeed, this is what happens unfortunately! As human being we forget, we make mistakes, this post was just to remind myself and everyone who has a wrong idea, to know the real purpose of this month... it is already Cha3bane, time to start preparing ourselves in order to achieve those aims.
May Allah bless us in the month of Sha`ban and give us the chance to fast the month of Ramadan
The dou3aa of our Prophet -Peace Be Upon Him- helps us to start thinking about what should really be done and what should not -one month before-…. if I do it, you do it, it shows that we have good intention from now
…imagine if we do good things during 1 month, so it will become a habit ! I have heard about a study in this way… so if I do the prayer -Salate- 5 times a day On time, and do my best to do things in a good way, think about poor people, keep good contact with people, and control one’s nervousness (this is the most difficult
), …..with all good manners …can you imagine the change in my life ! and then in our life…. I always remember Aya : (Inna Allaha la youghayirou ma bi kawmine hatta youghayirou ma bi anfoussihim) ان الله لا يغير ما بقوم حتى يغيروا ما بأنفسهم
*sigh*...
…I have a part of responsibly in what happens if I don’t try to do my best to change myself… May Allah help me to be good
