    Do you feel passionate about your career? Think you can give advice
    to young people about your career path and inspire them to look into
    the field? Then we want to hear from you.

    The TV show is aimed at young people about to embark upon higher
    education and looking to get onto the first steps of the career
    ladder. We are looking for professionals from a wide range of
    backgrounds to talk about their careers and provide an insight
    into their respective fiields. We are particularly interested in
    hearing from anyone from an Islamic Studies / Arabic, Teaching or
    Engineering background for the next few shows, although we are
    interested in a variety of disciplines for the next series.

    The Retreat

    In the summer of 2006 Abdullah Trevathan, a Muslim teacher, invited three men and three women (some Muslim, others not), to spend four weeks exploring their spirituality at an Islamic retreat in the hills of southern Spain. In their first week, the new arrivals struggle to adapt to the retreat's demanding routine. As well as regular periods of silent contemplation and spiritually uplifting work on the land, the group must also attend the five daily prayers that begin before sunrise.

    A Man with a Mission. Michael Cockerell tells the inside story of Tony Blair as war leader. Using interviews with key insiders Cockerell tells how Blair was able to build as close a relationship with President Bush as he had with Clinton, and shows how Blair's sense of personal mission led him into wars that climaxed with Iraq.

    Earthquake Diary

    The People of Wales School. Cardiff GP Dr Nawab Khan and the KLWT team have been raising money to build a new school for children in the remote Bhunja Valley in Pakistan which was devastated by the earthquake. As an interim measure, to ensure the continuing education of the surviving children, they organise the transportation of six temporary marquees. But it's a logistical nightmare as the Bhunja valley is five and a half thousand feet up in the hills and the roads are blocked off.

    The General's War

    With access behind the scenes of NATO's war in Afghanistan, this documentary follows the General David Richards just after he takes command of 12,000 American troops and 20,000 NATO soldiers. Richards is shown as he makes daily life-and-death decisions and negotiates the diplomatic minefields to hold together a multi-national force from 37 countries.

    Beirut to Bethlehem

    The cradle of civilisation is the location for this fascinating series, where Irish writer Manchan Magan takes us on an odyssey through the Middle East. Beirut, South Lebanon, the Golan Heights, Palestine: these names will resound forever with the tragedies of the past 4 decades. Today, we travel overland charting the painful recent history of the region, visiting the birthplace of poet and writer Kahlil Kibrain, a Palestinian refugee camp, where three generations of displaced people live in dire economic circumstances, and in South Lebanon, a town that was hit by a phosphorous bomb which killed 120 people. We arrive in Bethlehem just two days after Sharon made his ill-fated visit to the Temple Mount, which triggered the Intifada.

    Pilgrims from Gangland

    Paradise Lost: The Story of the Chagos Islands

    The story of the Chagos islanders who were forced to leave their idyllic homeland in the Indian Ocean to make way for a military base in the 1960s. The tiny Chagos islands were part of the British empire until they were secretly handed to the US with a promise that Britain would get rid of the inhabitants. The UK got a substantial discount towards its Polaris submarines and America got a strategically-placed air base on the island of Diego Garcia, which has since been used to bomb Iraq and Afghanistan. Jonathan Charles travels to Mauritius to meet the islanders who now live in poverty in the shanty towns of the capital, Port Louis, and follows their fight to be allowed to return to their homeland.
