2 Algerians have qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympics to be held in Turin, Italy. Laura Douibi and Bentoumi Noureddine both ensured their spots in next years games by achieving the minimum times for qualification. Douibi will take part in 3 events: the downhill, the giant slalom and the superG. Noureddine will participate in the Cross Country Skiing event.
Douibi: "Representing Algeria at the Olympics is a dream that is coming true."
Noureddine: "I'll do my best to be worthy of the stage I'll be competing on."
