The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) have elected, Abdelhamid Hadadj, as its new president in a vote of the General Assembly held this morning at El-Riadh Hotel in Sidi Fridj, Alger. Hadadj won with a 63-48 vote and will replace Raouroua at the head of the FAF. He was previously Vice-President of the Algerian Football League and President of the Discipline Committee. His appointment could lead to the turn around in Algeria football, which has been in decline for many years now. Algeria failed to qualify for this years African Cup for the first time since 1978.

This is fresh blood. The way the FAF worked before was almost like a dictatorship. Hopefully with this new president Algeria can go back to dominating Africa and going to the World Cup. As for problems with FIFA, I havent heard a thing. They had problems about a month ago but that was settled.
