    Algeria will be represented by two teams in the second edition of the African Confederations Cup. The two teams are ASO Chlef and NA Hussein Dey. ASO Chlef will face ASC Entete of Mauritania in the first round. NA Hussein Dey have gotten a bye into the next round and will face the winner of Sahel SC (Niger) and Sewe Sport (Ivory Coast). ASO Chlef are already in Nouakchott in preparation for the game.

    ASO Chlef progressed to the second round of the Confederations Cup as ASC Entente of Mauritania withdrew from the tournament. ASO Chlef will face AS Douanes of Senegal in the next round.

    ASO Chlef 0-0 AS Douanes (Senegal)

    ASO Chlef's first ever game in African competition did not end in the way fans would have liked. ASO Chlef were held to a 0-0 tie at home against Senegal's AS Douanes. After a slow first half, ASO had a number of chances to score in the second, even some one-on-one's with the goalkeeper, but could not manage to break the deadlock. This means that ASO will have to get a good result in the return leg in Senegal 2 weeks from now.

    NAHD lost 1-0 on the road to Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast. Return leg will be played in 2 weeks.

    NAHD 3-1 Sewe Sport (Ivory Coast)

    NAHD qualified to the next round with a 3-1 victory over Ivorian side AS Douanes. They will face the winner of the ASO Chlef (Algeria) and AS Douanes (Senegal) matchup.

    AS Douanes 1-0 ASO Chlef

    AS Douanes scored a goal in the 85th minute to advance to the next round of the Confed Cup. They will face NA Hussein Dey of Algeria in the next round.

    NAHD 2-0 AS Douanes (Senegal)

    NAHD defeated Senegal's AS Douanes 2-0, with goals from Alliche and Gana, today in Blida. The return leg will be in 2 weeks.
