Notheaux said he just got a phone call from a rep of the FAF, nothing more. Guy Stephan's name was announced by the radio and many newspapers.

Another Day, Another Name
Today's reports have it that German coach Peter Schnittger is going to be the new coach. I won't comment anymore until I see who signs. We get new names every single day.

Schnittger set to coach Algeria

Veteran German coach Peter Schnittger is in line to be the new coach of Algeria. Sources within the country's sports ministry are quoted as saying that they have reached an agreement in principle with the coach, after he visited the country earlier this month. Schnittger will replace Meziane Ighil who stepped down from the post in September last year. The German first started coaching in Africa in 1968 and has had spells in charge of Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia and Senegal. Schnittger seems to have got the job ahead of three other coaches - with Guy Stephan, Alain Perrin and Raynald Denoueix having been tipped as possibilities for the post.

I have no idea whats going on with the FAF and MJS. The guy said he would help in the formation (academies and stuff), he never talked about coaching the NT. So how does the president of the MJS come out and say hes going to coach? Bricolage and a half.
