Three season ago, noone had even heard of the name Fouad Bouguerra. The young striker was still playing for amateur side Montélimar in the French 5th division. However, after a strong display with the club, he was noticed by Ligue 1 side FC Nantes who quickly snapped him up. He spent a year with their reserve squad scoring 11 goals in 24 appearances and earning himself a 2-year professional contract. His next 2 seasons were not as successful, making just 6 appearances with the first team in 2 seasons. However, he continued to do well with the reserve squad, featuring 32 times and scoring 7 goals in that same period. After being linked with moves to a number of Ligue 2 teams, Emirates club Dubai SC and Algerian clubs USM Alger and ES Setif, Bouguerra finally chose to sign with Tunisian side Club Africain this off season.

Although he just joined up with the team, Bouguerra has already become a crowd favourite. Today, he score a hat-trick in the final of the North African Cup, as Club Africain defeated Algerian side MC Oran 4-3. Bouguerra scored the game winner, in the 90th minute of the game.

Bougherra scored 2 goals for Club Africain in their last league game against CS Sfax. Club Africain won the game 2-1 are 1st in the Tunisian league with 10 points in 4 games (3 wins, 1 draw). He also scored a goal in their 3-0 win over Al Wahda (Syria) in the Arab Champions League.
