Algiers, April 14, 2011 (AGI) -- The cycling Tour of Algeria will be starting off in June after a 10-year stop. In truth, the tour of the North African Country was suspended several times in the course of its history: the first edition was held in 1949, was subsequently suspended during the war of independence and was started off again in 1970. Everything ran smoothly until 1986, when there was another total blackout, despite two attempts to give it some regularity in 1999 and 2000. Now it will be relaunched for a long time to come.
