CR Bordj Bou Arreridj knocked out of handball tournament

March 11, 2011 -- Rabita Casablanca will face Egypt's Al-Ahly on Saturday (March 12th) in the semi-finals of the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arab Handball Cup in Saudi Arabia. The other semi-final features Saudi sides Al-Wehda and Mudhar. Algerian team CR Bordj Bou Arreridj were ousted from the tournament after losing to Al Ahly on Thursday.

Algeria lose to Tunisia in French tournament playoff

March 14, 2011 -- Tunisia defeated Algeria 26-25 on Sunday (March 13th) to take third place at the "Challenge Marrane" handball tournament in Paris. Czech Republic beat French team US Ivry for the title.

Algeria U-20 women win French handball tournament

April 26, 2011 -- The Algerian women's U-20 handball team won the Haute-Savoie tournament in France, APS reported on Monday (April 25th). The two-day event, which included clubs from France, Switzerland, Slovenia and Italy, was part of Algeria's CAN preparations.
