Handball in Algeria

The finals of the 26th edition of the African Handball Champions Cup will take place tomorrow. Its an all Algerian-final between MC Alger and US Biskra. The tournametn is being held in Morocco and the final can be watched tomorrow on 2M (the Moroccan channel). Its on at 4.30 in Algeria (or is it Morocco?). MC Alger won the Supercup earlier this year as well. They have won the Supercup 7 out of a possible 9 times. They have also won this trophy 4 times (maybe more, who knows). Either way we are going to be celebrating an Algerian victory.

Algeria`s Mouloudia wins African championship

Algiers, Algeria, 09/19 - An Algerian handball team, Mouloudia d`Alger, won the 27th African Cup of Nation handball trophy after beating Tunisia`s Esperance de Tunis 23-22 in the final match in Abidjan, Cote d`Ivoire, Sunday night. Half time: 11-11. This is Mouloudia`s eighth continental handball championship title in a game the Tunisians have been dominated for years.

MC Alger have won the 1st leg of the African Super Cup of Handball 33-27 against Tunisian side Club Africain. MCA have already won 7 of the 9 editions of the African Super Cup, and should have no problem getting the job done at home in the return leg.

MCA lost the return leg 23-22 to Club Africain (Tunisia) but still end up winning the African Handball Supercup. Its the 8th time MCA have won Africa's top trophy out of a possible 10 times. MCA, undoubtedly, the top Handball team in AFRICA.
