After studying Mouloudia Algiers’s appeal on Monday (May 21st), the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to commute some of the sanctions imposed on the team’s players for misconduct during the CAF Cup game with Kwara United in Nigeria on March 4th. Goalkeeper Merouane Abdouni’s suspension was reduced from three to two years and defender Kamel Bouacida received a suspension of 12 months instead of 18. The club’s fine was also decreased from $25,000 to $15,000. Club president Khaled Adnan's six month suspension from attending all CAF competitions was confirmed.
