This is a man with the highest bounce in the world, and it is an unbelievable 147 centimetres. For comparison purposes, the best basketball player of all time, Michael Air Jordan`s bounce is “only” 122 centimetres.
Kadour is 33 years old, born in France, and is Algerian by origin. He is 178 centimetres tall, and his nick-name is Zianimal. He was the third French league goalkeeper, and is a Slam Nation member at the moment, the most famous basketball organisation dealing with slam dunks.
All started in France in 1994. Jeremy Medjana, local basketball player, organised a slam dunk competition and invited the best “dunkers” around. The competition was quite attractive and highly successful. One after another, competitions were organised with current Slam Nation members performing miracles.
Kadour Ziani caused most attention, reaching the hoop with his head with each slam dunk. Competitors at these dunk competitions, which became more and more popular, did things that were never seen before. Thus, on March 31, 1997, a group of French slam dunkers was officially established, called Slam Nation. It is interesting that none of them is higher than two metres, but they all have minimal bounces of 100 centimetres from the spot, and with a pounce, more than 120 centimetres.
After founding the group, they started going on tours to perform quite a spectacle to the audience, realising most imaginative and technically hardest slam dunks, like 360 degrees through their legs or slam dunks over four to five people. What they are doing is better than the best NBA dunkers. San Antonio Spurs Manu Ginobili and Vince Carter, upon witnessing the Milan competition and seeing Ziani and co, remained breathless.
