April 2, 2009 -- The first International Futsal Tournament will begin April 23rd in Constantine, east of Algiers. It will bring together 16 international teams from the Maghreb and Europe.

November 1, 2010 -- Libya will host Syria on Monday (November 1st) for the Mediterranean Futsal Cup opener, the Tripoli Post reported. The two teams play in Group A with Greece and Morocco; Algeria join Slovenia, France and Albania in Group B; Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus and Malta are in Group C, while Croatia, Turkey, Palestine, and Lebanon comprise Group D. The event runs through November 19th.

November 3, 2010 -- Tunisia defeated Cyprus 7-1, Algeria lost to France 4-0 and Morocco tied 1-1 with Greece on Tuesday (November 2nd) at the 1st Mediterranean Futsal Cup in Libya, Futsalplanet reported. On Wednesday, hosts Libya face Morocco, Algeria play Slovenia and Tunisia take on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

November 4, 2010 -- Host Libya defeated Morocco 7-4 on Wednesday (November 3rd) at the Mediterranean Futsal Cup, MAP reported. In other Day 2 action, Algeria were slammed by Slovenia 11-1 and Tunisia beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 6-5 to take their group lead.

November 7, 2010 -- The Mediterranean Futsal Cup quarter-finals are set for Sunday (November 7th). Hosts Libya play Lebanon, Tunisia face France and Morocco meet Croatia. The fourth quarter-final pits Bosnia and Herzegovina against Slovenia. On Saturday, Algeria beat Malta 2-1 in a placement game.

November 8, 2010 -- Hosts Libya defeated Lebanon 3-2 on Sunday (November 7th) in the Mediterranean Futsal Cup quarter-finals. As for the other Maghreb teams in the quarter-finals, Tunisia lost to France 5-1 and Morocco fell to Croatia 5-1. In the semi-finals on Monday, Libya face France and Croatia play Slovenia. Algeria meet Turkey, Tunisia face Lebanon and Morocco take on Bosnia and Herzegovina in placement matches.
