Herve Renard, USMA near deal

January 12, 2011 -- French coach Herve Renard reached a deal with USM Alger management, Liberté reported on Wednesday (January 12th). Renard is expected to head to Algeria soon to finalise the contract.

Dellacasa named ES Setif coach

January 13, 2011 -- Giovanni Dellacasa was named new ES Setif coach, El Watan reported on Thursday (January 13th). The Italian trainer takes over from Gianni Solinas, who made a surprise exit from the Algerian club in December. Patrick Remy and Victor Zvunka were among the candidates for the post. Hadj Mansour will serve as ESS technical director.

Renard to assume coach duties with USMA

January 23, 2011 -- Hervé Renard is preparing to assume his duties as USM Alger management coach, Liberté reported on Sunday (January 23rd). He reportedly signed a two-and-a-half-year deal on Saturday. In a press statement, Renard voiced his satisfaction with the new job and said he is going to start work next week with his two assistants, Patrice Beaumelle and Laurent Bonadei.

AS Khroub sack coach

January 24, 2011 -- AS Khroub dismissed coach Mohamed Tebbib on Sunday (January 23rd) over poor results, El Watan reported. Tebbib was replaced by Zoheir Djelloul, an assistant to former Algeria coach Rabah Saadane. His task until the end of the season will be to save the team from relegation.

JS Kabylie recruit Brazilians

January 24, 2011 -- JS Kabylie's Brazilian recruits Madison Barbosa Souza and Bruno Zanelli are expected to arrive on Tuesday from Frankfurt, El Watan reported on Monday (January 24th). The two new Canaries will attend the team's 15-day training camp in Tizi-Ouzou.

Bennemra joins USM Blida

January 28, 2011 -- FC Gueugnon midfielder Nacer Bennemra signed a two-year contract with USM Blida, Foot-national.com reported on Friday (January 28th). The 21-year-old will join two other players of Algerian decent who joined the club after starting their careers in France: Yanis Youcef and Lounis Lanseur.

ES Setif sign Burkinabe striker

january 31, 2011 -- ES Setif signed striker Koh Traoré of Burkina Faso club Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou, El Watan reported on Monday (January 31st). French-Algerian striker Farès Mecheri, who played the last two seasons for USMA and WAC, also returned to his former Setif side.
