Several Egyptian fan clubs’ presidents have declared that preparations are well underway for the big match between Algeria and Egypt slated for November 14.
The Egyptian Fans League representative has indicated that the Algerians will live hell during their stay in Cairo, adding that the night before the match will be noisy and bustling all around the area of the hotel where the Algerian delegation has chosen its headquarters.
The Egyptian fans are busy preparing what they penned as the “International Day” for horrifying the Algerians as they plan to besiege “Movenpick” hotel and organize parties all night long in order to disturb the Algerian players and impeach them to sleep.
14 November “International Day” for threatening the Algerians
As time is running out pending the big match, the Egyptians are launching large –scale campaigns which aim at destabilising the Algerian delegation using “Facebook”. The most important campaign is known” party all night”.
One of the initiators of this wild life, a DJ called “Adbdesslem Debbour” has decided to use 15 loudspeakers and will hire 10 others on November 13 in a move to play western songs all night long. He also invited other DJs to join him for the party, while another one has suggested using cars’ hooters to make noise even higher.
The road to Hell
The fan clubs representatives have revealed the itinerary from the hotel to the Cairo stadium will not be the “Silk Road” for the Algerian delegations as fans will be waiting for them on both sides of the road in order to boo at them but without approaching them in order not to be accused of assaulting the Algerian players. They vowed to treat the Algerians the same was as they were in Algeria in the away match.
In addition to the 80 thousands spectators who are expected to fill Cairo stadium’s bleachers the day of the match, the organizers intend to set up giant screens outside in a move to gather more than a million fans.
The idea has been largely followed and raised the interest of many to an extent that some Egyptian businessmen took on them the task to supply and set up the giant screens to broadcast the match for those who didn’t get access to the stadium. The organizers wish to gather the “magic” number four or five hours before the kick off in order to exhort more pressure on the Algerian players.
Tight security measures
High level Egyptian security sources revealed that the possibility top see such a large crowd of fans around the stadium was almost nil, amid tight security measures deployed by the Egyptian authorities. Nobody will be allowed to get access to the area surrounding the stadium unless he got a ticket, the same sources revealed.
The Egyptian interior ministry is working on providing all means for the Algerian delegation and makes them feel at home starting with cordoning the zone and impeaching cars to park around the stadium.

Some of the injured players had been hospitalised, he said. Echourok’s journalist and photographer attacked by angry crowd in Cairo
The fans were over excited because they couldn’t get tickets for the match as the demand has largely surpassed the offer. The situation has degenerated leading to the outbreak of skirmishes between the fans.
Some of them have besieged Echourok’s special envoy and thrashed them violently, after discovering that they were Algerian journalists who were there on duty.
Fortunately, the journalist and his colleague were “saved” by the Egyptian police officers who rapidly intervened and tried to take them way from the overzealous crowd. But the fans continued their assaults despite the police call for respecting the Algerian guests and give a nice picture of the Egyptian society.
As we are concerned, we have to acknowledged that the Egyptian authorities didn’t spare any effort to assure the security of our correspondents, and that the “rogues” who attacked our journalists do not represent the big majority of the Egyptian people who reserved a hearty welcome to the Algerian fans all along these days.
On the other hand, clashes broke out yesterday between the Algerian fans and the Egyptian ones nearby the Algerian embassy in “Ezamalek”, when some 260 Algerians moved directly to the Algerian embassy in a move to buy their tickets.
After noticing that tickets were not available for sale, they decided to organize a sit-in nearby the embassy weaving the Algerian flags and chanting songs. The scene prompted the curiosity of the passers-by from the other side.
Immediately after crowds of Egyptian fans gathered on the other side of the street facing the Algerian ones and started to sing their own songs. But a big fair play prevailed during the “confrontation” between the two clans and not a single event was registered.
