Antar Yahia sur le point de décrocher le titre du meilleur joueur arabe 2009

Lundi 28 Décembre 2009 -- Le défenseur international algérien de Vfl Bochum (D1 allemande), Antar Yahia, a pratiquement décroché le titre du meilleur joueur arabe de l’année 2009, selon le sondage de l’émission sportive de la chaîne de télévision MBC, "Sada Al Malaeb". À trois jours de la fin du sondage, le défenseur des "Vert" totalise 48 % des suffrages (438.000 voix), contre 21,5% (195.000 voix) pour le milieu international égyptien du Ahly du Caire, Mohamed Aboutrika, classé second. La troisième place est occupée par l’autre Algérien, Rafik Saifi (AlKhor/Qatar), avec 89.000 (9.77%), suivi par l’international soudanais d’Al Hilal (Soudan), Haithem Mustapha (53.400 voix, 5.85 %). Antar Yahi a brillé lors du match d’appui contre l’Egypte qualificatif au Mondial 2010, disputé le 18 novembre à Oum Dorman (Soudan), en inscrivant l’unique but de la partie. Les internautes ont été priés, depuis le mois d’août, de choisir parmi 21 joueurs arabes sélectionnés pour ce sondage. 911.000 personnes se sont exprimées depuis le début du sondage.

Yahia leads global TV poll for 'best Arab footballer'

December 29, 2009 -- Algerian international and Vfl Bochum defender Antar Yahia tops the MBC-TV poll for best Arab footballer of 2009, APS reported on Monday (December 28th). Three days before the end of the voting, Yahia had garnered 48%, of the votes. Egyptian Midfielder Mohamed Aboutrika of Al-Ahly Cairo was second with 21.5% of the vote and Algerian Rafik Saifi of Qatari club Al Khor was third with 9.77%. Nearly one million votes have been cast since the pan-Arab TV channel's "Sada Al Malaeb" programme began polling viewers last August.

Jeudi 31 Décembre 2009 -- Antar Yahia a été élu, mercredi soir, par la chaîne de télévision MBC meilleur joueur de l’année 2009. L’international algérien a obtenu 48 % des voix devançant de loin le joueur égyptien Mohamed Abou Trika, avec 20 % des votes. Rafik Saifi, autre international algérien, est arrivé en troisième position, avec 11 % des voix, suivi du joueur soudanais d’El Hillal, Haitham Mustapha, avec 6,5 %. MBC a établi une liste de 21 joueurs arabes pour élire meilleur joueur de l’année. L’Algérie sera le seul pays arabe présent à la phase finale de la coupe du monde de football en juin 2010 en Afrique du Sud. Antar Yahia, qui évolue dans le club allemand VFL Bochum, est l’auteur du but qualificatif de l’équipe algérienne au Mondial inscrit contre la sélection égyptienne le 18 novembre 2009 à Khartoum. Yahia a marqué 5 buts avec les Verts depuis sa première sélection en janvier 2004 pour le match contre le Mali.

Yahia receives best Arab footballer trophy in Angola

January 17, 2010 -- Algerian international defender Antar Yahia on Saturday (January 16th) received his 2009 Arab Player of the Year trophy from television channel MBC at an official ceremony in Luanda, Liberté reported. Some one million people took part in the Pan-Arab TV channel poll, with Yahia winning 48% of the vote. On January 2nd, the Sada El Malaab programme announced that Yahia had won the title, beating Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Aboutrika of Al-Ahly Cairo and Algerian Rafik Saifi of Qatari club Al Khor.
