China coach Haan vows to play attack football against Algeria
China head coach Arie Haan has vowed to play attack soccer in Wednesday's international friendly against Algeria in France, reports said here on Monday.
China head coach Arie Haan has vowed to play attack soccer in Wednesday's international friendly against Algeria in France, reports said here on Monday.
The Dutch was brave enough to make this kind of decision after their humiliating 6-0 defeat to Barcelona in Nou Camp last week. It was China's biggest-margin loss in their international history.
"We will play attack football again in the match," the Beijing Times quoted him as saying.
He said that the defeat to Barcelona was not the fault of the Chinese defence. "We lack an efficient attacking midfield," he said.
Haan has recalled defenders Sun Jihai and Shao Jiayi, who play for English premier league side Manchester City and German Bundsliga team Munich 1860.

It doesnt matter which defenders they call up, with players like Salim Arrache and Mansour Boutabout and of course HOCINE ACHIOU, its gonna be hectic for the Chinese.
PS. The game is on tomorrow at 7 in France. So i think 8 in England. 1 in Canada and 6 in Algeria.

I cant believe we lost 1-0 to China !!!!!!!!!!! This is so embarassing. A country with as many as players as we have in Europe and we still manage to lose to China. And out of all countries .... China! Well this is going to hurt for a while. Hopefully we make the world cup though. Inshallah.

LOL Tony,
Man, ALgeria didnt just lose in sports, we are way back when it comes to sports especially football, just watch the league, they still beat the referees to death after every single game LOL. Anyways, actually i consider that a good result 1-0 yeah it will hurt for a while, but it will soon be forgotten.
To develop professional football players, you need to prepare them from a very young age, there has to be football fields everywhere, facilities, organised local teams, and the attitude towards the game has to change. They really must start following FIFA law. You see here in UK, look at it its an island, but there is a park in every square mile, sometimes a few parks.... just get the ball, gather a few guys and start a game. You see kids playing from the age of 6, 7,8...etc they love football here, nowonder they produce stars. In algeria, how many proper stadiums we have? How many normal pitches with grass we have? You find kids playing on tarmac in the streets, breaking arms every now and again. None of them will make it to that high level.
Our national football team reflects truly how algerian football is in general. Its takes time, preparation, seriousness, ..etc to get up there with the big teams.
What the ministry needs to do, is like I said above, encourage football to be played, open up sports centres, provide facilities for the young generation... Thats the only way forward Mr Starks, otherwise you will see more of the above result (1-0) or maybe we already saw enough
Take care,
Khokom.

That match was for the new Belgian manager to see what the players he called up are capable of doing.U might have noticed that 80% of the team was different in the second half so it was just an experimenting match so dont knock the team yet theres many more players that can do a better job & will be called up inchalah e.g meriem & hamdani (marseille), meghni(bologna), madouni (dortmund), madjani (liverpool),Saadi (bournmouth) ect..... so theres still hope.
P.S belhadj & benhamou men of the match

ok so inshallah its looking positive, we gota stay optimistic, its just every time they get a new coach after the few few matches they lose, they kick him out. They have to be patient and give the managers time to prepare the team.
Time Bomb,
I agree with you, with I reckon its more to do with the attitude of those players, especially players in the league. Maybe if they bring players from abroad things will change as they have seen and experienced professionalism.
Regards to all,
Khokom.

Khokom: If you're not familiar with our NT, its made up mostly of Algerians born in France. In the game against China, there was like 7 (Arribi, Achiou, Ammour, Bensaid, Bouabdellah, Zafour) from Algeria. The rest were all from Europe. So these kids are developing right.
Anyways, there is a lot of potential to bring in all those Algerians playing for other countries (like Don_Corleone mentioned). But i have a question for you, have you ever seen Saadi play ? Ive heard a lot about him but since he plays at Bournemouth (very small team) i havent gotten anything concrete. Do you know much about him ? Thanks.
