20-year old Algerian Karim Benounes, who plays for Olstykke in the Danish 2nd division, is on trial with Crewe Alexandra in England (2nd division). Benounes played with the Algerian Olympic team last year. He used to play for Lille in the French division.
BBC Article:
Benounes is offered second chance
Crewe manager Dario Gradi is keen for triallist Karim Benounes to return for a second spell at the club after impressing on trial last week.
The 20-year-old striker scored within 10 seconds of the start in the reserves 4-1 win against Shrewsbury Town.
"We have told Karim he can come back if he wants to," Gradi told Crewe's official website. He has had to return to France to sort out a family thing, but I've told his agent he can return at a later date." Gradi added: "Karim is strong, he looks as if he can take a goal and is also very bright. What we need to decide is if he is better than any of our other young players like James Robinson and Nicky Maynard."

Do you mean the second division on the first division? In England the first division in the premier league and the second one in the first division

Keeping up to date on Karim Benounes:
His trial with Crewe Alexandra was no good even though he impressed the coach. He then had a trial with Charleroi in the Belgian league (Kraouche's club) but that was no good as well. He is now on trial with another Belgian club, La Louviere, which already has 3 Algerians playing in it (Djebbour, Brahami and Daineche).

Karim Benounes played in todays friendly between La Louviere and RC Lens. RC Lens ended up winning the game 2-0. Benounes came into the game in the 63rd minute. The coach will decide next week whether to keep him or not. Also, Algerian defender Nasser Daineche started the game for La Louviere.
