Morocco captain Noureddine Naybet is likely to miss Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Guinea as a result of an injury.
Naybet is the captain of the team
Officials said the 35-year-old Tottenham Hotspur defender, who has a record 107 caps for his country, is being treated for a leg problem.
His place in central defence is likely to be taken by Talal El Karkouri, who plays for English Premiership side Charlton Athletic and returns to the side after a suspension.
Morocco lead Guinea by one point in the Group Five standings.
