Well for my family, I had an uncle that played for JS El Biar (who play in D3 now). He played alongside Tarik Lazizi (who used to play in the National Team and MC Alger). Lazizi lives like 2 seconds away from us and he used to be in our store like 24/7. Anyways, my uncle told me he was way better than Lazizi back in the day and the only reason he stopped playing football was because he went to the army. Even then, he was one of the best players in the Army league but when he came out he just quit. I have another uncle that played with one of the teams in Alger centre (I think CRB but I never actually asked which one). Anyways, he played with most of the CRB guys and I heard he was good enough to make it. He stopped playing to go work overseas.

Les Verts In Action
Ligue 2: Creteil 0-1 Sedan
Sedan stayed on top of the standings in Ligue 2 with a 1-0 away win against Paris-based Creteil. Nadir Belhadj and Mansour Boutabout played the entire 90 minutes for Sedan, as did Ali Boulebda for Creteil. It was Belhadj that would prove the difference maker, as the defender scored a scorching shot from 30 meters out in the 56th minute of the game. The win gives Sedan 59 points from 31 games, 3 ahead of Bastia and Valenciennes with 7 games left to be played.
Championship: Crewe Alexandra 4-1 Coventry City
Crewe Alexandra got a rare victory today beating rivals Coventry City 4-1. Madjid Bougherra played the entire game and got his first game in English football in the 17th minute. However, Crewe are still bottom of the tables and will need a miracle to avoid relegation.

Arrache & Ziani Linked To Marseille
RC Strasbourg midfielder Salim Arrache and FC Lorient midfielder Karim Ziani have both been linked with a summer transfer to Olympique Marseille, France Football reported. Arrache is also being linked to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart and Ligue 1 sides Toulouse and Nice. Ziani also has a few other Ligue 1 teams chasing him including Saint Etienne, Le Mans and Nantes. Arrache's RC Strasbourg will very likely move at the end of the year as his team is currently 18th in the French league and will probably be relegated. Both players have been regulars for the Algerian national team.

Sennaoui Free In Summer
RC Strasbourg have announced that they will not extend goalkeeper Mehdi Sennaoui's contract when it runs out this summer because of a contract dispute between the player's agent, Christian Payan, and team officials. However, the 19-year old should have no problem finding a new team in the summer. RC Strasbourg are currently facing relegation from Ligue 1 as they sit in 18th spot with just 5 games left.
