Hello again,
I just wanted to respond to your last post on the thread
from Nahed. Unfortunately someone closed the thread.
Excuse me for not replying as quick as you did.
I wanted to answer your question
`I do not think he is seeking clarity when he makes false allegations and insinuations, do you?`
I didn`t witness FORTUNATO`s six hour posting. Actually it
is irrelevant how many hours he is spending on algeria.com.
Surely I don`t know the whole story behind the mass deletion
during the last days. But it seems reasonable to me when
FORTUNATO says he wouldn`t reply on a closed thread.
You on the other hand speak about his misleading and untrue comments and misinterpretations of events. Well I don`t know the truth - so to me both versions of the event could be true - simply because I didn` t read every written and immediately deleted post.
Excuse me for annoying you with my miserable english.
I am just concerned a bit about the transparentcy of algeria.com

masaa' en-noor ya skikdia
mar7aba, the thread was not closed because of you, it was closed because a member persisted in trying to use it to continue his futile campaign of trying to abuse me.
It is indeed irrelevant how long any member spends on the site, but just as I would not expect you to believe that you knew the story of a book after reading one page or knew the plot of a three hour movie after seeing only a minute of it, so too I do not expect you to have a detailed awareness of how some members, a tiny minority of members, behave.
FORTUNATO's 6 hours were spent posting futile abuse and dishonest accusations. Not particularly fruitful and not particularly a sensible way to use the site.
You seem to think there is some mystery about 'mass deletions'. Two members only lost their posts due to an error, an error that had nothing to do with me or with any other moderator.
One member has been banned and had been banned long before FORTUNATO decided to support him. Another member is on the way to receiving a ban. The bans are for serious breaches of VCI rules and as and when those members try to post here their posts will be deleted.
Nobody's posts get deleted because of their opinions, if you take even a brief glance over the threads then you will find that members are trading thoughts with each other all day and every day and express widely ranging viewpoints.
My own brief with regard to deleting older posts from the archives is very clear: spam, profanities, posts containing racial hatred or any kind of hate speech, posts with pornographic content, posts advocating or threatening violence and such are all being removed systematically from the archives. Quite apart from making the archives 'cleaner' the removal of such posts creates a better environment for members and visitors alike.
I could not post a statement of what has occurred here on this thread if it was untrue. The administrator would not permit it. It is not a matter of 'perspective', ya skikdia, certain problems have really occurred and certain solutions have really been adopted and what members are told by the moderators is often nothing more than confirmation of what they have witnessed with their own eyes.
If you have specific questions I will be pleased to answer them. I work with the other moderators to provide as safe and clean an environment here as possible and that is your guarantee of transparency. Persons who try to make false allegations against me - or any other moderator - are not really contributing to transparency at all. They are waging their own petty and disruptive campaigns and the lack of support they receive should be a clue to you about how much weight to attach to their fabrications.
I have honor, ya skikdia, and could not post these words to you if they were false. If you ever feel dissatisfied with a moderator's actions you are free to contact the administrator of this site. Copies of abuse and technical information regarding the IPs of a very few immature people are retained and rulings re: bans and deletions are not the whim of a single person but are the application of a policy that has carefully assessed how breaches of VCI rules are dealt with.
'Targeting' me or trying to create the illusion that the measures adopted against problem makers are somehow my sole responsibility is not a realistic way to understand how the administrator and the moderators implement VCI rules.
The vast majority of members here are not here to cause trouble. It is those people that I respect and I am pleased to work with the other mods to make a decent environment for them.
Incidentally, mabrook on your use of English, it is very good and you have no reason to make apology for it.
Take care, ya skikdia,
fi aman Allah
