    Angry

Under Travel, browse cathegories for Algeria in English,Travel and tourism,Travel Guides;Excite Travel I found the following:
    DESTINATION ALGERIA

    Warning!

The enforcers in the FIS didn't take that sitting down, and tens of thousands of people have now been killed in a mindless cesspool of massacre and counter-massacre. The army has been accused and implicated in joining in; the populations of whole villages have had their throats slit, as have hapless foreigners in the wrong place at the wrong time. Diplomatic missions have packed up and gone home. Vast areas of the countryside are lawless.

In September 1999, Algerians voted overwhelmingly to support President Bouteflika's referendum to bring the seven-year civil conflict with the Islamic fundamentalists to an end. There appears to finally be a real desire to end the violence, but any peace still appears a long way off. Don't go to Algeria unless you're on a death-wish or can afford paramilitaries to protect you.

    Me again:
I am shocked !!!!!!The last sentence is the worst!!!And on the countries own pages, please somebody get rid of this !!!
i was in Algeria just a few weeks ago, and I had no problems as a foreigner!!

    Angry Puuhh!!!

I was thinking that this ADMIN should not be working on Algerian pages with an opinion like that...
Unfortunately Mikael Palin a famous traveler who has programs on TV, has been travelling through Algeria, and in the programme we could see that there were guards on the train, and at the stations, he also talked about Algeria as a dangerous country...I didn't see the program myself, but my mother did, and she shouldn't have, she told me to never go to Algeria again !!! Sorry mum, I loved it there, and I didn't experience anything bad! In fact an Algerian that I didn't know, and never saw again, gave me coins so I could use the taxiphone!!!He couldn't change my paper money, so he gave me money instead! So nobody tell me **** about the people or the blad, Hafek!!!
