What happened to Princess_Diana as a moderator?

I suggest, in order to control the excesses of the muslim fundamentalists in this forum, that a member with secular viewpoints be elected or selected as we cannot continue to project a distorted picture of Algeria and Algerians.

Therefore, I would like to put name forward to become a moderator as a replacement for Princess_Diana.

It is clear that Princess Diana no longer participates in this forum and therefore the decision was made that her status as a moderator is removed.

Secondly, I would like to ask you, who do you regard as a muslim fundamentalist? Almost all muslims practice the religion of Islam and therefore follow the fundamentals and basics of Islam. Also, bear in mind, since this is algeria.com then a moderator from the algerian community must be chosen and since most algerians are muslims, a muslim moderator is chosen. I accept there are secularists amongst us, but they can practice their secularism without showing any hate for the religion of Islam.

You reckon we are distorting the picture of Algerians here? Many members join this forum to insult and offend others and those are the ones who distort the picture of algerians. You want the excesses of muslim fundamentalists in this forum to be controlled? It is controlled as far as I am concerned, and I dont see any one here showing hate or offense to other religions beside Islam or race groups, and if you see such things, then bring it forward to my attention and i will deal with it accordingly. Again, I remind you that here we tollerate other faiths ...etc and everyone gets on as long as they respect each other. Finally, I would ask you to read and do some research into fundamentalism in Islam and you will realise that extremism is not tollerated and muslims do not accept it. Rather, what you view as extremism can be related to ignorance regarding Islamic teachings, and because of this ignorance, certain muslims around the world show and give out a totally wrong image about islam.

The Admin1 clearly understands all this, and I will also discuss this further with him and bring your request forward.

I am not interested in your opinion because I know already what you stand for. May I also remind you that although many (perhaps most who knows?) Algerians call themselves muslims, it does not mean that they are all practicing muslims or are intolerant towards others with secular viewpoints.

With you as the sole moderator, the discussion cannot be fair or balanced in view of your muslim bias.

ALGERIA.COM does not, I repeat, does not mean ISLAM.COM and therefore I suggest a second moderator with secular outlook on life be elected or selected.

I am aware algeria.com is not islam.com, I have been neutral as a moderator, I did not preach or been unfair to members with secular view points, all i got from them is a lot of hate towards islam and towards ordinary algerians, as princess diana described them as filthy.... therefore, its not about secularism, its about hate, this of course is not tollerated in our forum.

I am not here to battle against a moderator on how to moderate this forum, so far, I didnt not censor or delete or edit posts unfairly. I have made sure people stick to the rules of the forum so that everyone manages to participate comfortably.

It seems you pick moderators according to religion views..etc then if we follow your advice, then why not have a jewish moderator, a christian moderator, a budhist moderator...etc

Stand Tall, moderating this forum can be handled by one person, I dont impose my islamic views on anybody here, bu merely, I have been answering some questions with the intention of correcting their misconceptions. You may or may not agree with how I moderate this forum, no one is forcing you to be here, and may I remind you, there are many forums on the net which preach secularism and hate against Islam.... you should give them a try so u feel more comfortable with people who share your views.

You say that one moderator is enough for this forum, in that case how about a moderator on a rotation basis. You served your time now let somebody else do it for a change. It's fair isn't it?

Nobody wants a president for life so why should we put up with a moderator for life?

You think you are putting up with me? Nobody is putting up with me here, you feel free to say or express yourself about any topic of discussion, but all I ask is you stick to VCI rules, because rules are needed to keep this forum under control.

Well, there was no moderator before me and if you were a member back then, you would have seen what was going on. This forum wasnt a forum were people can come and talk, exchange views...etc but it became a place for people to spread their idiotic anti islam hateful comments and offend the rest of the members. Thankfully, those are all banned and we will keep banning them if they return to ensure the decent members of algeria.com can discuss comfortably.

You compare being a moderator to being a president... no no, its on a volenteering basis and I just see it as my duty as an algerian to moderate this forum and keep the conversations flowing without any silly members disrupting and causing problems. Thats all.

The individual with Site-Id Khohom to whom moderator priviledges have been assigned in my opinion is biased. From my experience on this site for months and months if not years, his OPINIONS DO NOT REFLECT those of the Algerian Majority. His Knowledge of Algerian issues, history and politics is extremely limited. He represents or strongly supports a fringe of Algerian religeous minority that managed THROUGH violence and TERRORISM to impose their appearance on the media. He regularly and unfairly sanctions and removes posts that oppose religious view of Algerian Politics. I kindly ask that you revoke his priviledges at once and replace him with someone with a clear notion of FREE SPEECH. I will have no other choice than keeping the topics unbearable to any visitor or simply quaranteen the site all together. I would have simply left had you not chosen the word Algeria. The republic of Algeria has IMPOSED itself on the World with 132 years of struggle of which 7 years of bloody war that cost us One MILLION and HALF LIVES. Your chosen moderator is very likely to NOT be of North African descent or culture. His extrelmly limited knowledge of History of North African ingeneral and Algerian in particular and pro-baathism rather invoke that of a baathist refugee travelling with an Algerian passport issued by pro-baathist former regime in Algeria.
