MUSCAT, Oman, January 06, 2007 — A joint session of talks between the civil aviation authorities in the Sultanate and Algeria will be held in the Algerian capital next Thursday.
The Sultanate’s delegation to the talks will be headed by Mohammed bin Sakhr Al A’amri, undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for civil aviation affairs, and a number of officials from the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation. During the two-day talks an agreement regulating the air transport services between the two countries will be signed. The agreement will provide the civil aviation companies in the two countries with the opportunity to operate flights between the two countries.
It will also discuss operation of eight flights by each side on a weekly basis.

(MENAFN - SPA) 11/01/2007 - - Algeria and Oman signed here yesterday an agreement for cooperation in airspace.
The Secretary-General of the Algerian Ministry of Transport Muhammad Ali, who signed the agreement along with an Omani official, said that this agreement following completion of negotiations by civil aviation experts from the two countries, has granted a legal permission for developing bilateral trade and facilitating movement of their citizens between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman.
