I bought Lonely Planet Algeria, 2007 edition: it is very much outdated which was to be expected. Email addresses and occasional websites are not existing any longer. Algeria wants to encourage us tourists to visit your beautiful country. However, when I phoned a certain hotel from USA on June 26, to secure a reservation, I was told to call back after July 1. No problem for me, but for Algeria, in the end, it could mean losing a whole lot of travel business.
Not to worry, however, I am determined to visit your country, for one month and will report again with my travel stories later.
