Those of you who know best can you advise. I have a dilemma going to Algiers for 10 days in September.
I’m torn between Le Mercure I read great revues but it is still only 3 stars, Al Djazair suppose to be 4stars but horrible revues, Sofitel and Hilton I stayed before and was disappointed, Sheraton too far away for me and I will feel lonely and scared. I really don’t know what to do and where to book?

hotel mercure
Hi,
I stayed for the second time this year in Hotel Mercure which is 3 stars (but in Algeria it's indicated 5 stars), it's the best for me, try it.

I think that sofitel is ok, dunno why u did not like it. In algeria there is no big diff between 3 and 5 stars, the services still need to be improved; Mercure is nice, (u get a nice room, shower and Tv hehehe
but it depends what you want. (I never use iron, safe deposit, bar or any of those to me useless things in the room)
I hope u r gonna have a pleasant journey
Take care!

Salut a tous,
Damya, thank you for sharing
Abdu
I always take your advice and shall give the Sofitel another try.
I am not easy in fact very fussy and demanding. I am used to the best and when paying for a service I expect top class.
I am off packing now
