Hello Sweet_pea, i'll appreciate it if you choose a different tone when exchanging communiques with me. You stoop so low when you called me an A hole on the open board. You didn't even apologize for doing so but that's fine with me. Now as for my contribution on this thread, i was merely posting an article showing that women are not the only ones facing abuse. I was basically surprised to know that in canada, men and women are almost equally abused and i thought it would be interesting to post it. I didn't mean to upset anyone nor deviate the harmonious exchange. Take care.Originally posted by Sweet_Pea
Spousal abuse doesn't mean male abuse of the female.
In the event you were sitting on your face and couldn't read what I wrote, I was trying to demonstrate that religion does not play a part in this, and I don't understand why it was even mentioned to begin with.

Kool, abuse happens everywhere, it's a fact of life.
You shouldn't have taken offense to my tone, it was merely in reaction to yours. I will start addressing you in the manner you wish when you start addressing me in the manner you wish to be treated.

Sweet-pea, i don't see why i shouldn't be offended by someone who calls me an A hole for no particular reason! I've never insulted you and never will. It's just not my style. You know there are different ways of expressing your apparent displeasure of a certain point made by me, and an insult is simply not an option that you should consider. Really, i wasn't expecting to be insulted especially by a woman. It's important to keep a certain level of civility otherwise i don't see the point of exchanging communiques. Take careOriginally posted by Sweet_Pea

So what you are saying is women need to shut up & put up with it??
this one is for khokom.
what do you think would happen to a woman in an islamic country if she beat up her husband?
as you can see. my original question had nothing to do with muslim.
simply says woman. islamic country. and husband.
it was a very good question that deserves an answer that no one wants to give.

if you are more comfortable with the example of a christian wife beating a muslim husband in an islamic country we can go with that.Originally posted by Khokom
The second you frame a person as being muslim, for example, a muslim man, you are bringing religion into it.
Why dont you spreak about domestic violence and abuse of women, in general, instead of bringing it all down to "muslim men beating muslim women, in muslim countries".
No I am not happy to hear you say Jewish men beating Jewish women. I already explained, dont frame it all as if those who are beating are doing it because of religion.
Women, and men for that matter, get beaten in every country, regardless of faith, race, nationality, colour, ....etc. I already said this sentence in my previous post.
Khokom.
or we can go the other way too, a muslim wife beating a christian husband - or a - as i originally stated a wife beating a husband in an islamic country.
what would the government do about it?
