Hello everyone, i wanted to get some information about weddings in algeria.
my algerian bf told me he wanted a traditional wedding, he's from bejaya (spelling?) and i'm not sure what he meant by traditional wedding. anyone can provide me with some information?
i need info on things like :
how long the party goes on for? is it mixed? what outfits are worn (traditional algerian or from that particular region)?
...etc
thanx

Sorry, don't mean to state the obvious.
But why don't you ask your future hubby what he means by wanting a traditional Algerian wedding.

thanx for the reply, my bf doesn't live in algeria and he has all his close relatives sorting these things out and doesn't know anything :s
also for the outfits he said he had no idea.

Hi Apple,
just wanted to say congrats.!
Happy to hear that an internet relationship where the guy didn't seem interested turns to be fruitful and leads to a marriage!
I unfortunately can't help on your questions for I've not been to a wedding for years..
I am curious to know which strange traditions u meant in your last post?

thanx phyley.
yes he wasn't interested in an internet relationship at first but we'r in love with each other now.
for the traditions, he said that in a traditional wedding, we will be guided into our bedroom and everyone will be waiting outside for us to come out :s is this still the case or is it a very old tradition?
