I could never do it outside the context of religion. I dont trust my own judgement well enough, and I never trust Love. Love has caused many women to put up with alot of garbage and it has allowed many men to dish it out.
UmTarek, whose judgement did you trust when you moved to marry and live with your husband? Also, I thought you converted to islam sometime before of after marraige, how could you have married for your deen when at that time you had none at that time?

    I am so terribly confused.

    Hello Sarah

the only thing I can say is always follow your heart and once you decide you stop hesitating and you move forward

the most important thing in life is again move forward never regrete any decision and if even things are not what you expected them to be always work on solution but never never regrete ..that's why whe nyou are about to take any decision make sure that this is your own decsion under 0 influence.

I know a girl she used to live in US for whole here life she is originally from palestine and her parent have a good finacial situation in the state ..
she got married to an algerian guy who used to live in the state , and then he has to come back to algeria .
his fiancial situation in algeria wasn't really good and he didn't even have a good job despite his diploma .
she beared all the misery of the world with him and she shared one room with his family for almost a year.
then now here patience and faith on her husband paid back and she is now living in dubai and enjoying here life with her two kids ..
she is now 25 years old and she was 21 when she moved to algeria

.. this is just an example of having faith on your gut .. so follow your heart (I am not saying follow your love but your heart )

    wish you all the best
    Bahia

Bahia sweetie, thank you for the great advice, you see, miracles do happen, in life nothing is certain, but what is certain is that if you live it so cautiously you never get to experience it fully.

    Thank you very much
And yes i put this posting here because i want to hear the woman's opinion, i have gotten in the past really nasty feedback on other threads, from men.
